Creating artwork

THAT FEATURES YOUR FAMILY

The goal is to provide you with a custom portrait experience to create your visual legacy where the end result is not just a set of digital files that will end up in some folder on your computer. While I understand the appeal of digital files, I want my clients to walk away with tangible artwork that is ready to hang, share, and enjoy. Whether that is a wall portrait or one of the gorgeous heirloom albums, I promise you that investing in custom artwork of your most precious moments is never something you’ll regret.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Do you photograph weddings?
No, I don't. Not even small ones.
  • Do you photograph surprise proposals?
    No, I don't.
  • Do you photograph parties or events?
No, I don't. Not even small ones.
  • When should I book my maternity session?
Generally, the best time to capture your growing bump around 28-36 weeks. This also happens to be the time frame in which you feel comfortable enough to move around and pose for cute belly pictures before you’re a little too close to your delivery date. If you’re expecting twins, generally right around 24 weeks.
  • What is a Lifestyle Newborn Session?
All of my newborn sessions are lifestyle, which simply means the focus is on your natural connections as a family. While I provide posing guidance to capture the prettiest light and settings possible, I don’t physically pose baby or use any props. Instead, my storytelling style allows you to be fully present in the moment, soaking it all in.
  • How do I know if a lifestyle newborn session is the right choice for me?
A lifestyle newborn session might be right for you if: You desire natural, candid moments documented during this sweet season You want just a little posing guidance without feel overly posed or staged Real, authentic moments that make you feel are high on your list You’re seeking a minimalist approach that focuses on connections These sessions don’t include: Traditional posed newborn photos that include sleeping babies, props and specific outfits The use of any props. Since I focus on the documentary side, I will not be posing your baby in any baskets, blankets or bowls. Specific outfits, hats or accessories. Instead, baby will stay cozy in a swaddle, onesie or other outfit that he or she will actually wear at home. (I recommend keeping it neutral to really capture baby’s sweet features.)
  • Where does the newborn session take place?
Lifestyle newborn sessions take place at your own home. In-home sessions are just how they sound – all the photos are taken in your own home, typically involving baby’s nursery or your living room. They’re meant to capture life in your home as it is in this moment: full of excitement, joy and so much love.
  • When should I book a newborn session?
It’s recommended to book at least 2-4 months before your due date. We’ll want to have the session take place within 14 days of baby’s arrival, and I only take a limited number of sessions each month to accommodate this. We’ll choose a tentative date based on your due date; once baby arrives, you’ll just need to reach out to coordinate the final day and time.
